Japanese toy manufacturer "State of the Art" (SO-TA Co., Ltd.), which has released numerous capsule toys and rebranded as "STUDIO SO-TA" (スタジオソータ), will once again launch a themed gashapon series in collaboration with design brand "Denno Daiku". This time, they are releasing the "Armored Komagitsune", scheduled for release in September 2023.
Denno Daiku's works have consistently featured foxes as their theme. Previously, they have released gashapon toys such as Ninja Fox, Fox Warrior, and Nine-Tailed Fox. The Armored Komagitsune released this time is based on a previously released Komagitsune model, featuring armor equipped on the chest, shoulders, arms, and thighs, and a short sword clutched in its mouth. Overall, it resembles a Japanese samurai. There are four variations in total, in black and red, each with either gold or silver armor.
Additionally, this product is available in two versions: a gashapon version and a box toy version. The difference is that, besides the box toy version being higher priced, the fox's tail in the box toy version is a nine-tailed design, and it comes with a stone-shaped display base for collectors.
