Hong Kong toy brand Hot Toys, renowned globally for its realistic sculpting and extremely high fidelity, today officially unveiled its long-awaited first Kamen Rider product. They will be releasing the "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure" from the 2022 series "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN." Detailed product information will be announced at a later date.

"Kamen Rider BLACK SUN," which premiered exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on October 28, 2022, is part of the 50th-anniversary project for Japan's popular tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider." With a theme of returning to its origins, it reboots the popular 1987 series "Kamen Rider BLACK," presenting the cruel fates and sorrowful story of the two protagonists, Kotaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki, through director Kazuya Shiraishi's new perspective. The designs of the Kamen Riders and Kaijin (monsters) in the series also differ from the original BLACK style, placing greater emphasis on the "Kaijin" as the primary subject, endowing them with realistic muscle lines, thorns, carapaces, and other biological features.
Hot Toys' 1/6th scale figures have historically focused on American comics and Western films such as Marvel, DC, and Star Wars. They not only feature excellent articulated joint structures but also faithfully recreate the details and textures of various armors and leather outfits using composite materials. The hyper-realistic head sculpts and colors, perfectly capturing the likeness of the actors, are particularly astonishing. The first Kamen Rider product, "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN," happens to be one of the most intricately designed Riders in recent years, and its transformed identity, Kotaro Minami, is portrayed by Japanese Academy Award winner Hidetoshi Nishijima, providing an ideal opportunity to showcase Hot Toys' long-cultivated ultimate craftsmanship.
