The robot model kit 'HG (High Grade)' series, launched by BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, has officially revealed full product details for the protagonist mecha from the anime 'Armored Trooper VOTOMS', the 'Scopedog', scheduled for release on October 21, 2023.
The 'HG Scopedog' utilizes multi-color molded parts to thoroughly recreate its sophisticated in-series design and military green color scheme. The skirt armor and heavy machine gun magazine parts are produced with thick molding technology that doesn't hollow out the interior, achieving both the heavy feel of the armor and intricate inner details. Furthermore, the cool triple-rotating lens on the head not only features rotating and sliding articulation mechanisms, but the lenses are also recreated with three-dimensional metallic stickers to simulate a glowing effect.
This kit also boasts excellent articulation design, with flexible limb joints and a torso composed of multiple ball joints. It can not only recreate the standby state when not activated, but also reproduce the cool 'Roller Dash' combat pose from the series, thanks to the intricate roller components on the feet and other detailed sculpting. Regarding weaponry, in addition to the standard handheld 'Heavy Machine Gun', the lower arm also features an extendable mechanism to recreate the classic melee attack, the 'Arm Punch'!
Furthermore, Bandai is simultaneously releasing two expansion parts sets, sold exclusively at the PREMIUM BANDAI official store: 'HG Scopedog Expansion Parts Set 1' and 'HG Scopedog Expansion Parts Set 2'. These sets include cockpit interior details, a pilot figure of protagonist Chirico Cuvie, effect parts, and various weapons, among other items, significantly enhancing the playability of the HG Scopedog!
