Yesterday (26th), LEGO's announcement of the "21060 Himeji Castle" surely ignited the collecting passion of many toy enthusiasts. This time, the editor will bring another LEGO set recently announced, also imbued with a strong Japanese aesthetic: "10315 Tranquil Garden"! It is scheduled for release on August 1, 2023.
This "Tranquil Garden," appearing in the Icons series, consists of 1363 pieces. Once assembled, it stands approximately 21 cm tall and measures 32 cm long. Its specifications are similar to the assembled Himeji Castle, which has over two thousand pieces, though slightly narrower. The overall building style is reminiscent of the "80107 Lunar New Year Lantern Festival," as both feature beautiful small bridges, flowing water, and garden landscapes. However, the architectural styles are completely different, once again showcasing the possibilities of LEGO bricks and the ingenuity of the designers! The building technique for the red arched bridge is highly anticipated, and the stone lanterns, which capture the essence of their form with just a few pieces, are also adorable.
This diorama, which fully captures the visual effect of a traditional Japanese garden, also features many charming elements, such as the river made of blue transparent plates, printed koi fish, lotus flowers, various trees, and more. You can also lift the pavilion's roof to admire the intricate tea room inside; the teapot and tea whisk pieces are fantastic! A must-buy, a must-buy.
