Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) has announced the latest product in its popular "Frame Arms Girl" plastic model kit series, "Durga II," scheduled for release in December 2023.
The prototype for the Frame Arms Girl "Durga" series originates from Kotobukiya's "Frame Arms" plastic model kit series, specifically a base defense unit belonging to the lunar base faction. After being bishōjo-fied by illustrator Eiji Komatsu, it inherits the heavy armor characteristics of an "armored knight." It also continues the style of the voluptuous girl body, similar to the Frame Arms Girl "Magatsuki," also designed by Eiji Komatsu, creating an even more appealing contrast when paired with impressive heavy armaments.
The newly announced "Durga II" is an even more heavily armed specification, utilizing the same movable body. In addition to various hand parts, it includes four pre-printed face parts: a "healing smile," a "proud face," a "pouting face," and an "anxious face." For hair parts, it comes with the same hairstyle as Durga I, plus an elaborate large ponytail hairstyle to express the dignified aura of a female knight. The bangs can also be swapped for unarmored, ribbon-tied, and other varied styles!
Accessories include a set of pristine white heavy armor parts, allowing the body to switch between light and armed forms. Included stickers can be used to recreate the golden engravings on the armor. The armaments not only include Durga I's spear but also feature newly sculpted parts for a greatsword, a shield, and an aiming disruptor on top of the helmet. The spear can also separate into a short spear and a mace, the greatsword can separate into two single-handed swords, and the front of the shield can deploy claws and connect with the blade, among other features, enhancing playability with its flexible armament forms!
