TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today officially announced the latest product commemorating the 20th anniversary of the broadcast of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED": the "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Infinite Justice Gundam 20th Anniversary Ver.", scheduled for release in December 2023. The 'METAL ROBOT SPIRITS' series combines metallic-textured paintwork with an alloy frame.
The ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice Gundam is an MS completed by the Clyne Faction, which, after stealing next-generation mobile suit data from the Z.A.F.T. military, incorporated various cutting-edge technologies with Athrun Zala as its pilot. As such, the Infinite Justice Gundam inherited the close-combat specialized armaments of Athrun's previous mobile suit, the "Justice Gundam". It is equipped with a large array of medium and close-range armaments throughout its body, including beam sabers, beam blades, beam boomerangs, and a composite armed shield. The high-mobility unit "Fatum-01" mounted on its back has been significantly improved; compared to the Justice Gundam's "Fatum-00", it boasts enhanced thrust, firepower, and spatial maneuverability. This allows the Infinite Justice Gundam to single-handedly engage in mid-to-close range MS combat, anti-ship battles, and anti-base assaults, demonstrating its full combat potential.
The "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Infinite Justice Gundam 20th Anniversary Ver." is a modification based on the regular version released in 2018. It similarly features an exterior designed by sculptor Sakano Ryu and a main articulated frame made of alloy. However, the overall color scheme has been refreshed: the red armor throughout the body has been changed to a wine red that possesses both luster and depth, and the white parts have also had their saturation lowered accordingly. The markings on the mobile suit feature a new 20th-anniversary special design, with gold and silver-toned patterns used in multiple areas such as the shoulders, skirt armor, and wings, enhancing the detail density and luxurious feel.
The armaments include a double-ended beam saber that can reproduce separated and connected forms, beam blades that deploy from the top of the feet, a high-output beam rifle, beam boomerangs, beam shield effects, and a shield grappling hook that can be reproduced in its launched state using cable parts. The "Fatum-01" mounted on the back can be separated from the main body, and with connecting parts, the Infinite Justice Gundam can even ride on top of it, recreating its high-mobility spatial combat stance!
Furthermore, the black display stand also differs from previous versions, adopting a new design used in recent METAL ROBOT SPIRITS series products. Compared to the old version, it allows for free height adjustment and offers greater stability. The silver pattern printed on it also features a new design with the Infinite Justice Gundam's head, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED".
