Japan's official "Mobile Suit Gundam" Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, today officially announced the full details for its latest limited-edition product from "Mobile Suit Gundam UC," the "HG TOLRO-800 Torohachi," scheduled to go on sale starting August 5, 2023.
The Truro Company's mini MS, the TOLRO-800 type, commonly known as "Torohachi," is the latest model of engineering mini MS from Universal Century 0096 in "Mobile Suit Gundam UC." Standing approximately 3 meters tall, it features a transparent canopy cockpit, flexible manipulator arms capable of various engineering tasks, and a propulsion backpack. It can be operated both in the gravity environments within colonies and in the vacuum of space outside colony walls. In the series, protagonist Banagher Links used this machine to rescue the heroine, Mineva Lao Zabi.
The "HG TOLRO-800 Torohachi" features entirely new molds for all its parts, not only boasting excellent color separation and part division techniques to reproduce its various colors but also meticulously recreating details such as the spherical canopy, cockpit interior, side searchlights, and multiple thrusters on the backpack and feet. Furthermore, it includes mechanisms for opening and closing the cockpit hatch, extending and retracting the arms, articulated manipulators, and movable legs, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses!
