Aniplex Inc. (株式会社アニプレックス) of Japan is set to release a new product, the "2B" 1/7 scale figure Deluxe Edition, based on the popular anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a"! The suggested retail price is 26,000 JPY, with an estimated release in September 2024.
The ultimate weapon of humanity, the new model android "YoRHa No.2 Type B," is abbreviated as 2B, with "Type B" signifying "Battler" (combat-type android). Like other YoRHa androids, 2B has silver-grey hair and wears a black Gothic Lolita-style outfit. She excels in close-quarters combat using swords and firearms, and launches long-range attacks via her Pod. She is a calm and collected soldier, appearing quiet and reserved, but this is due to suppressing her emotions and expressions under orders from her superiors to "not possess emotions."
The "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a 2B 1/7 Scale Figure [Deluxe Edition]" stands approximately 20 cm tall. Based on an illustration by Jun Nakai-sensei, it recreates 2B's dynamic combat pose. Details of her attire, such as her open-chest top, flowing skirt, thigh-high boots, and black stockings, are meticulously rendered with exquisite paintwork, showcasing different material textures. The metallic texture of her melee weapon, "Virtuous Contract," is realistically portrayed; the intricate detailing is truly eye-catching. It includes an interchangeable face part without her blindfold, revealing her cool and striking bare face! Furthermore, the Deluxe Edition includes an additional ruined rubble base, reminiscent of the game's world, and "Pod 042"~
