Jointly launched by Japan's SQUARE ENIX company and the Prime 1 Studio brand, the Polystone statue series 'SQUARE ENIX MASTERLINE', which features works from SQUARE ENIX, has recently announced its latest product from 'NieR:Automata', the "2B 1/3 Scale Statue", following the 2B 1/4 Scale Statue. This product will be available in two versions, a Standard Edition and a DX Deluxe Edition, and is scheduled for release in March 2024.
One of the three android protagonists, "YoRHa No.2 Type B", is abbreviated as 2B, with 'B' signifying 'Battler' for combat-type android. Like other YoRHa androids, 2B has silver-grey hair and wears a black Gothic Lolita-style outfit. She excels in close-quarters combat using swords and spears, and launches long-range attacks via her Pod. She is a calm and collected soldier, speaking with little emotion and avoiding unnecessary conversation unless required by her mission, strictly adhering to the YoRHa android principle of not displaying emotions. However, as players progress through the game, they gradually discover that 2B is not good at hiding her feelings and also possesses an impulsive, sincere, and gentle side that cares for others.
The Standard Edition of the "SQUARE ENIX MASTERLINE 2B 1/3 Scale Statue" is crafted using Prime 1 Studio's long-honed sculpting techniques, boasting an impressive height of approximately 95 cm. It meticulously captures details such as 2B's lifelike hair and facial features, her elaborate black attire, her back muscles, and her voluptuous glutes, allowing collectors to appreciate the outstanding character design in a grand scale.
Both the Virtuous Contract and Virtuous Treaty weapons, as well as the accompanying Pod 042, are finished with realistic and weighty metallic paintwork. They also feature weathering effects such as blade damage, metal scratches, dirt, and rust, seamlessly integrating them into the base, which is composed of stacked remnants of machine lifeforms and Ho229 flight units. Each piece of debris is meticulously detailed with mechanical intricacies and weathering. Turning to the back, one can even spot the upper torso of a YoRHa heavy armored soldier. These abundant game elements not only showcase the world of the game but also allow players to relive its poignant story.
In addition to all the contents of the Standard Edition, the DX Deluxe Edition further includes interchangeable parts to recreate 2B's appearance without her blindfold and after self-destruction, revealing a high-cut design without her skirt. This allows for the display of 2B's beautiful facial features and her voluptuous gluteal curves!
