BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, Japan, today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," the "Demi Garrison," scheduled for release in December 2023, as part of its highly diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla 'HG (High Grade)' series. This product will be sold exclusively on BANDAI's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The MSJ-OP122 Demi Garrison is a mass-produced mobile suit from the Demi series developed by Brion Corporation. In the series, it is primarily operated by the Front Management Company as a guard MS. Compared to the Demi Trainer used by students for training in the academy, the combat-spec Demi Garrison features thicker armor throughout its body and is equipped with additional reverse thrusters in multiple locations, including the head communication antenna, booster backpack, and legs, to enhance its combat suitability in space. It also boasts a rich array of armaments, including wrist beam vulcans, beam sabers, rapid-fire short beam rifles, concentrated long beam rifles, and rocket launchers. The beam saber mounts on both sides of the backpack can even be removed and replaced with missile launchers.
The "HG 1/144 Demi Garrison" is based on modifications of previously released Demi series mobile suits. It utilizes numerous new parts to recreate the heavily armored head, shoulders, waist, leg armor, and additional thrusters. The thrusters on both shoulders, outer legs, and knees all feature movable mechanisms. Pull-out shoulder joints and forearm horizontal rotation joints further enhance the range of motion for both arms, allowing for dynamic combat poses with a rich array of armament parts, including wrist beam vulcans, beam sabers, rapid-fire short beam rifles, concentrated long beam rifles, rocket launchers, and missile launchers!
