Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd. Gashapon capsule toy brand's new Mobile Suit Gundam-themed capsule toy series "MS MECHANICAL BUST" will see its latest third installment, "Gundam Aerial," officially released in the fifth week of August 2023.
The XVX-016 Gundam Aerial is a GUND-ARM type mobile suit developed by Shin Sei Development Corporation on Mercury. This mobile suit was modified by President Prospera (Elnora Samaya) from the Gundam Lfrith. Before her daughters, including Ericht, perished, their personalities were transferred into Aerial's data storm, becoming its new body. The unit is equipped with armaments such as a beam saber, beam rifle, and shield. The shield can also separate into 11 "GUND-Bits," which can be used not only as remotely controlled all-range wireless weapons, "Funnels," but also connect to various points on the body and the beam rifle, serving as equipment to enhance mobility and firepower.
Similar to the previous two installments, "MS MECHANICAL BUST Gundam Aerial" includes three types of capsules to collect: the "Colored Exterior" with high-density detailed sculpting, the "Clear Exterior" made of fully transparent molded parts, and the "Internal Mechanism" combining precise structure and lighting features. Once collected, the exterior parts can be attached to the internal mechanism to assemble a Gundam Aerial bust approximately 10 cm tall.
This time, the inner frame and lighting mechanism utilize transparent parts in various colors to recreate the red Permet Score glowing parts and the green head twin-eye cameras. With the built-in LED light unit, these two areas can be illuminated, recreating the appearance when the Permet Score is activated!
