The Danish LEGO toy company has recently begun to release information on new products to be launched in 2024. In addition to the festive "80112 Auspicious Dragon", "80113 Family Reunion Celebration", and the Monkie Kid themed "80054 Monkie Kid's Cloud Cruiser", there's also a very interesting product – item number 40678, the "Festival Calendar"! It is expected to be released on January 1, 2024.
This new creation, themed as a 2024 calendar, consists of 345 pieces. Besides building "2024" with geometric bricks, the most exciting feature is the rotatable calendar numbers! Furthermore, there are two specific themes that can be displayed: one for Chinese New Year, and the other a dragon boat design based on the Dragon Boat Festival. The Chinese New Year base features firecrackers, lanterns, copper coins, and a "福" (Fu) character piece, which is very festive. The dragon boat section has a cute dragon head and a wave scene that adds to the overall appeal. The boat itself might seem a bit simple on its own, but it becomes much more interesting once the rotatable calendar is placed on it.
