BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division's robot model kit 'HG (High Grade)' series recently announced the latest product from 'Aura Battler Dunbine', the "HG 1/72 Virunvee", scheduled for release in February 2024. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The Virunvee is an Aura Battler developed and improved from the Dunbine. Its azure body features many structures similar to the Dunbine, and it is one of the first mobile suits to be equipped with an "Aura Amplifier", allowing the Komon people, who have lower Aura Power, to be strengthened. This improved upon the Dunbine's drawback of having extremely strict Aura Power requirements for its pilots, leading to its mass production in the mid-to-late stages of the story. However, its body size is consequently larger than the 6.8-meter Dunbine, standing at a formidable 9.2 meters tall.
The "HG 1/72 Virunvee" is produced based on anime design drafts and its appearance in the animation. It utilizes completely new parts to thoroughly recreate insect-like features such as its joints and wings. With multi-color molded parts in blue, black, yellow, clear orange, military green, and grey-blue, simply assembling it allows for a significant recreation of its in-show appearance. It also boasts a flexible articulation design. Its extensive weaponry includes an Aura Sword, Aura Launcher, and claws, enabling a wide variety of battle poses.
