American toy manufacturer SUPER7 yesterday (29th) announced a new "ULTIMATES!" series articulated figure, "Godzilla", based on Toho's 2023 monster film "Godzilla Minus One"! Pre-orders are expected to open on December 1, 2023, on the SUPER7 official website.
The setting of "Godzilla Minus One" is post-WWII Japan, a nation in ruins and facing the arduous task of rebuilding from scratch. However, at this critical moment, the colossal monster "Godzilla" suddenly appears and lands in Japan, causing immense destruction. The entire nation is about to go from its original state of 0 to a deeply despairing -1.0. This film also marks the 30th installment in Toho's "Godzilla" series, commemorating its 70th anniversary.
The currently revealed "Toho ULTIMATES! Godzilla (-1.0)" stands approximately 21.3 cm tall and measures about 36 cm long. It faithfully recreates Godzilla's menacing head, sharp dorsal fins, rough and tough skin, and a powerful physique with exceptionally muscular thighs, truly enhancing the destructive god's imposing presence! The full-body paint application, resembling dust and grime, is also incredibly detailed, making the overall piece truly formidable! Accessories are expected to include a roaring alternate head sculpt.
