Japanese model manufacturer Max Factory's popular articulated figure series "figma" revealed a prototype of its latest product, "Gridman (Universe Fighter)", from the theatrical anime film "GRIDMAN UNIVERSE" at the "Mecha Smile Impact 2024 WINTER" new product announcement event held last weekend. The release date is yet to be determined.
When Gridman was exploited by the mastermind and gradually merged with the universe he formed, "Gridman Universe," Akane Shinjo from the real world transformed into the "New Order" form, resembling a kaiju user. Utilizing the power of the sealed "Aggrexis Cleo," she assisted Rikka and others who were in crisis. Furthermore, the images and beliefs collectively drawn by Yuta, Rikka, Utsumi, Yomogi, Yume, Chise, and others were transformed into a powerful new force, allowing Gridman to evolve into the Universe Fighter form.
"figma Gridman (Universe Fighter)" recreates the intricate detailed color blocks of its body with rich paintwork, while also sculpting the sharp lines of the armor throughout its body. Equipped with figma original joint parts, it allows for dynamic posing. Furthermore, the product features a cross-series linkage mechanism, enabling it to combine with the separately sold "THE GATTAI Big Goldburn" to recreate the scene of firing the "Grid Hyper Fixer Beam"!
