World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys yesterday (11th) announced its latest product from the DC film 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': the 'Batman (Batman) 2.0' 1/6 scale collectible figure! It will be released simultaneously with the regular edition MMS731 and the Deluxe Edition MMS732. This article will focus on the product information for the regular edition.
This 'Batman 2.0', optimized based on the 2016 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' design, stands approximately 32.5 cm tall and features 30 points of articulation. Compared to the MMS342 version, it is noticeably larger, especially the upper body and chest, which are significantly more robust. The abdominal muscle definition has also been slightly adjusted, and notably, even 'that package' seems to have been upgraded! The overall physique achieves a more natural look thanks to the newly tailored suit. The cape features an embossed texture and improved tailoring, resulting in a more realistic drape. Furthermore, the articulation of the joints has been enhanced, allowing for more dynamic and lively combat poses.
For the head sculpts, there are two options: one masked and one revealing actor Ben Affleck's facial contours. The masked head sculpt features a seamless neck design, allowing for variations with movable eyeballs and three interchangeable lower face parts. The unmasked head sculpt captures a pensive expression, subtly conveying a sense of melancholy, which the editor personally finds to be exceptionally well-executed! In addition to movable eyes, it also includes two interchangeable sculpted hair parts. Accessories include a grappling gun with interchangeable tips, a grenade launcher with two grenades (detachable), four Batarangs, a Batman branding iron, a head sculpt stand, and a metal base designed with battle-damaged effects.
