The "Mega Man X" themed model kit series, launched by a Japanese model manufacturer, today announced its latest product, the "Falcon Armor X 1/12 Scale Model Kit," slated for release in May 2024.
The protagonist X's enhanced equipment, the "Falcon Armor," first appeared in 'Mega Man X5.' Unlike the system in X4 where it could be equipped immediately upon discovery, players had to collect four hidden part capsules on the map before they could use it. The highly mobile Falcon Armor boasts abilities such as reduced special weapon consumption, damage reduction, and prolonged aerial flight. Its charged shot, the "Spear Charge Shot," can pierce through enemies regardless of terrain, and it can unleash a devastating, nearly full-screen "Giga Attack." By 'Mega Man X6,' while the Falcon Armor became an initial armor available from the start of the game, it was canonically in an emergency repair state, losing both its flight capabilities and the piercing power of its charged shot.
The "Falcon Armor X 1/12 Scale Model Kit" features precise part separation and articulation mechanisms designed with CAD, faithfully reproducing the design from the original concept art. Some parts come pre-painted. Its flexible movable joints allow for dynamic posing, recreating in-game stances, and various parts are interchangeable with the first X body model kit.
Accessories include three interchangeable face parts, and both left and right hands can be swapped with shooting hands. The crystal clear parts on the back of the hands are detachable to increase wrist articulation. Additionally, various interchangeable hand parts are included, among which the weapon-holding hand can equip the separately sold "Mega Man X Zero" Beam Saber, recreating its appearance in X6.
