Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY recently unveiled for the first time the painted prototype of its latest product from the 『Hatsune Miku GT Project』, the 「RACING MIKU 2023ver. 1/7 Scale Figure」. The release date is yet to be determined.
「RACING MIKU」 serves as the image ambassador for the Japanese racing team GOODSMILE RACING (GSR). Since the 『Hatsune Miku GT Project』 began in 2008, a different illustrator has been commissioned each year to design her, resulting in various outfits and appearances. This new design is also painted on the race car during the season, drawing considerable attention. For 2023, Toridamono, the illustrator renowned for character designs in the 《Atelier Ryza》 series, took on the design, incorporating elements such as cute fangs and plump thighs into Hatsune Miku's new look, giving her an energetic yet somewhat sexy impression.
The 「RACING MIKU 2023ver. 1/7 Scale Figure」 is based on Toridamono's illustration, faithfully bringing her dynamic pose to life in 1/7 scale. It recreates her lively, sparkling expression with her cute fangs peeking out, and meticulously sculpts her flowing twin-tail hair and the two cheering birds by her side. The sexy outfit utilizes rich color applications and transfer printing to reproduce the texture of detailed metal buckles and accessories, as well as the 「GOODSMILE RACING」LOGO on her chest. Furthermore, her characteristic plump thighs are painted with three-dimensional light and shadow effects, conveying a full sense of fleshiness.
