Released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the 1/100 scale Gundam plastic model kit series "MG (Master Grade)", renowned for its excellent part separation, internal frame structure, and extensive articulation, today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam NT", the "MG 1/100 Sinanju Stein (Gundam NT Ver.) Ver.Ka", scheduled for release on June 29, 2024.
Within the Earth Federation Forces' "UC Project" for new mobile suit development, commissioned to Anaheim Electronics, two experimental units of the "MSN-06S Sinanju Stein" were developed to test the strength and responsiveness of the Psycho-Frame. However, AE illegally and privately transferred them to the Neo Zeon remnant forces, 'The Sleeves'. One unit was modified to become the personal machine of Full Frontal, the leader in the main story of "Gundam UC", while the other appeared in the side story "Mobile Suit Gundam NT" as the personal machine of Cyber Newtype Zoltan Akkanen, used to intervene in "Operation Phoenix Hunt" to capture the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Unit 3 "Phenex".
The "MG 1/100 Sinanju Stein (Gundam NT Ver.) Ver.Ka" is based on the previously released "Sinanju Stein Ver.Ka", with KATOKI HAJIME updating its appearance and weaponry to match the "Mobile Suit Gundam NT" settings. This includes the chest and forearm sleeve emblem parts, which utilize intricate part separation to recreate the complex white relief on a black background. Articulation mechanisms allow for flexible bending at the elbows and knees, while the arm-mounted beam saber racks and leg thrusters feature outward-opening deployment mechanisms. The backpack propellant tanks have also been updated to the same specifications as the red Sinanju.
For its weaponry, two Beam Axes have been added. Their handles can be connected to recreate the Beam Naginata mode seen in the series, and two sizes of beam blade effects are included for attachment. Furthermore, the axe handles can be stored inside the shield, allowing for a surprise attack pose where beams deploy from within the shield. This version's High-Output Beam Rifle features a structure where the Sinanju-exclusive Beam Rifle is encased, allowing the lower hatch to open and combine with a grenade launcher or bazooka. Accessories include KATOKI HAJIME's original design waterslide decals for markings, adding rich detail to various parts of the mobile suit.
