GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan has announced the latest product from their popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand items: the "Nendoroid Frieren" articulated figure, based on Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. It is priced at 6,500 JPY and is scheduled for release in July 2024.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (葬送のフリーレン) is a Japanese manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. The story follows the elven mage Frieren, who, along with the human hero Himmel, the dwarven warrior Eisen, and the human priest Heiter, returns as a hero after a ten-year adventure. Frieren, who can live for thousands of years without aging, perceives the passage of time differently from mortals. After witnessing the passing and aging of her companions, she begins to deeply feel the impermanence of life and regrets not having truly understood others. Frieren embarks on a new journey to experience the meaning of life and time.
The "Nendoroid Frieren" articulated figure stands approximately 10 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Frieren's light purple twin tails, faint blue-green eyes, and pointed ears in a cute, chibi proportion. Her white and gold-themed cape outfit is absolutely adorable! She comes with interchangeable face plates including an "expressionless face," a subtly smiling "smug face," and a contrasting "chibi face" for when she's slacking off. These can be combined with accessories such as her "staff," "grimoire," and "Blue Moon Weed," along with her flowing twin tail hair parts, to recreate various charming scenes from the series! Additionally, the GOOD SMILE COMPANY bonus is "Mercury Pudding + special hand part"★
