The upcoming theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" recently announced that its theme song "FREEDOM," performed by singer Takanori Nishikawa and written/composed by t.komuro (Tetsuya Komuro), will be released as a single CD on January 24, 2024. In addition to the "Regular Edition CD," a "Limited Production Edition CD" will also be released simultaneously, which includes the limited Gunpla "HG 1/144 Freedom Gundam [Polarized Clear Color]".
The theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM," released nearly 20 years after the conclusion of the TV anime series, will once again be directed by Mitsuo Fukuda. It will utilize the script left by his late wife and screenwriter, Chiaki Morosawa, to develop a brand new story set in C.E. 75, following the events of "SEED-D."
After the great war, the anti-Coordinator organization "Blue Cosmos" continues to incite conflicts worldwide. The formerly opposing Earth Alliance and P.L.A.N.T, along with the neutral nation Orb, have jointly established the world peace monitoring organization "COMPASS." Lacus Clyne, the driving force behind ending the war, serves as its first president, and Kira Yamato and others participate as members of the organization, intervening in conflicts across the globe. Against this backdrop, "FOUNDATION," a newly independent nation from the Eurasian Federation, proposes a joint operation plan to "COMPASS" to dispatch troops to the Blue Cosmos stronghold...
While only the CD outer box illustration design has been revealed for this "HG 1/144 Freedom Gundam [Polarized Clear Color]", its name suggests that all exterior armor parts will not only be clear molded but also utilize the recently developed "polarized resin." The parts will form unique gradient colors that change with the light source or viewing angle.
