Following the release of "Woody ver1.5" and "Buzz Lightyear ver 1.5" from the popular Revoltech (リボルテック) action figure series by veteran Japanese toy company Kaiyodo, the beloved cowgirl is also getting a new version! "Jessie Ver.1.5" was officially announced recently and is scheduled for release in July 2024.
Updated on January 15, 2024:
First appearing in Toy Story 2, Jessie is a cowgirl from the cartoon show Woody's Roundup. She is passionate, lively, and full of energy! When Jessie met Woody, she recounted her past with a beloved owner named Emily, who would wear a cowboy hat and play with her. Jessie felt her owner was her whole world, but as Emily grew up, Jessie was abandoned, making her timid and extremely afraid of confined spaces. Later, she and Bullseye joined Woody to become Andy's toys, and she even developed a sweet romance with Buzz Lightyear.
The Revoltech Jessie Ver.1.5 stands approximately 14.5 cm tall. Based on her design from Toy Story 2, it faithfully recreates her signature red hair, the yellow accents on her top and sleeves, and her distinctive cow-print chaps. In addition to her smiling face, she comes with four interchangeable expressions, including a flustered "What should I do?" face and a smug "I told you so!" face. All expressions feature articulated eyes, greatly enhancing playability and allowing for a wide range of scenarios. Accessories include an Alien, a lasso, a cowboy hat, numerous interchangeable hands, and a "YEE HAW!" speech bubble. It's worth noting that this Alien has a different expression than the one included with "Buzz Lightyear ver 1.5".
