Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series 'POP UP PARADE' recently unveiled the painted prototype of its latest product, "Marcille," from the popular manga 'Dungeon Meshi.' The release date is yet to be determined.

The story of 'Dungeon Meshi' is set in a classic fantasy RPG-style world of swords and magic, where adventurers flock to challenge the dangerous Golden Country dungeon in pursuit of treasure. The protagonist, Laios, forms a party with Marcille, Chilchuck, Senshi, and others to rescue his sister Farlyn, who was devoured by a red dragon. Lacking supplies, they must "live off the land" while adventuring, using ingredients from various fantasy creatures such as slimes, man-eating plants, cockatrices, and dragons to create delicious dishes with modern cooking techniques.
The 'POP UP PARADE' series, uniformly priced at 4,800 JPY, is crafted at approximately 17 cm tall. Based on the adorable character illustrations from the 'Dungeon Meshi' anime, it brings to life in three dimensions Marcille's cute pose, capturing her half-elf features like a prominent nose and pointed ears, giving her a cuter, more youthful aura than in the original work. Details such as wood grain, metal buckles, and stitching are meticulously reproduced on her leather backpack, the book at her waist, her staff, and her clothing, with molded colors and paintwork used to express the texture and quality of the colors.
