BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division of Japan recently announced that the latest limited Gunpla from 'Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury', the 'HG 1/144 Gundam Schwarzette [Recirculation Color / Neon Purple]', will be exclusively sold at the Bandai Plastic Model Festival 'HYPER PLAMO Fes.2024', held from March 22-24, 2024, at Makuhari Messe in Japan.
The MDX-0003 Gundam Schwarzette is a mobile suit secretly developed by Jeturk Heavy Machinery after acquiring GUND System-related technology from Shin Sei Development Corporation. Its exterior design incorporates many features of the "Darilbalde", a mobile suit also developed by the same company, and boasts excellent performance. Although its armament appears to be just a single bulky greatsword, it is actually the six GUND-Bits "Guardians" equipped on the Schwarzette. When deployed, not only do the internal physical blades unsheathe, but each GUND-Bit also contains beam vulcan cannons and diffuse beam cannons, and can form a cape-like "Bit on Form" configuration, achieving an integrated offense and defense combat style.
The 'HG 1/144 Gundam Schwarzette [Recirculation Color / Neon Purple]' is a modification of the previously released standard kit. Its unique color scheme is made from recycled materials, specifically plastic runners that have been collected and reprocessed. The black parts of the mobile suit retain the original color of the recycled material, while striking neon purple molded parts are added as accents. In addition to its somewhat stylish color scheme, this kit also showcases Bandai's active efforts in environmental protection and carbon reduction in recent years. Accessories include specially designed stickers with the "RE (RECIRCULATION)" logo, symbolizing recycling, which can be applied to various parts of the mobile suit.
Other designs remain consistent with the standard version, featuring a refined, easy-to-assemble construction and flexible articulation. The multi-functional offense and defense system "Guardians", resembling a scabbard, can also replicate its in-show design, separating into a physical blade and six GUND-Bits. The physical blade uses clear parts to create the deployed beam blade effect, while the six GUND-Bits can be assembled into a cape-like form and equipped on the backpack, recreating the "Bit on Form" that significantly enhances mobility.
