BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, in Japan, today officially announced the latest product from the ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E. series, based on "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury": the "Dilanza (Guel's Custom)", scheduled for release in June 2024.
The MD-0031 Dilanza is a general-purpose mass-produced mobile suit developed by Jeturk Corporation. It was designed with powerful engine output and robust heavy armor as its foundation, integrating various elements. To compensate for its lack of mobility, it features large-capacity thrusters and leg hover units for high-speed ground gliding. As a flagship machine for the company, it was also given to the eldest son, Guel Jeturk, who customized one for dueling. In addition to performance adjustments and enhancements tailored to Guel's close-combat fighting style, the entire machine was given a striking magenta paint job, and a flamboyant feather ornament was added to the head antenna.
The "ROBOT魂 Dilanza (Guel's Custom) ver. A.N.I.M.E." faithfully recreates the sophisticated, heavy armor design and the distinctive head feather ornament based on the anime's design drafts. Combined with the excellent articulation cultivated by the ver. A.N.I.M.E. series, the machine's joints can reproduce poses from the show. This includes split leg armor for a more powerful ground contact, "suit-rack" articulation for more natural machine lines, and flexible articulation axes for the waist and hip joints. Even the large tail fins on both sides of the backpack feature movable mechanisms to reduce interference.
Weapon accessories include a Beam Javelin, Beam Torch, Beam Rifle, Beam Blade, and Beam Vulcan firing effects. The Beam Torch handle, as per the design, can be stored inside the left shoulder armor. The transparent feather ornament on the head comes with interchangeable parts for its normal state and a swept-back state during movement. By removing the feather and replacing it with a pink beam effect, the machine's late-stage appearance from the anime can be recreated!
