The deformed character figure series 'Figuarts mini', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, launched its latest product, "Lacus Clyne", simultaneously with the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" on January 26, 2024, with a suggested retail price of 2,970 JPY (tax included).
The heroine, Lacus Clyne, was originally the daughter of the moderate faction's chairman of P.L.A.N.T. She was active in both public and private sectors as an idol singer advocating for peace. After several encounters with Kira Yamato, she became even more determined to take action to stop the war between the Earth Alliance and P.L.A.N.T. She then left P.L.A.N.T to join Kira, forming an independent force, and became a crucial figure in ending two major wars. Now, in C.E. 75, the setting of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", after the end of the great war, the anti-Coordinator organization "Blue Cosmos" continues to stir up conflicts worldwide. The formerly opposing Earth Alliance and P.L.A.N.T, along with the neutral nation Orb, jointly established the world peace monitoring organization "COMPASS", with Lacus Clyne serving as its first president.
The "Figuarts mini Lacus Clyne" is based on her new design as the president of "COMPASS" from the theatrical version. It captures the character's charm with a deformed, approximately 9 cm tall proportion. Her distinctive pupils and lips are faithfully reproduced using printing and painting techniques to match the anime's art style, while metallic gold and silver paints are applied to recreate the texture of her hair accessories and cuffs. By swapping arm parts, you can recreate her hands-clasped pose, as well as a hand-holding scene in conjunction with the separately sold "Figuarts mini Kira Yamato".
