Singapore's renowned statue brand XM Studios' new Transformers-themed series, "Transformers Beast Wars," presents its second release after "Optimus Primal": a non-scale full body statue of "Megatron"! It is currently available for pre-order on the XM Studios official website, with a suggested retail price of SGD 2,599, limited to 199 pieces.
The Transformers animated masterpiece "Beast Wars," which first aired in 1996, tells the story of the "Maximals" pursuing the "Predacons," led by "Megatron," who stole important artifacts, leading to intense conflict on ancient Earth. This Megatron is not only the leader of the Predacons but also undoubtedly one of the most popular characters. His domineering villainous traits, unique and striking purple color, and incredibly cool Tyrannosaurus Rex beast mode made owning a Megatron toy as a child feel like owning the whole world (laughs)!
This piece stands at an astonishing 83 cm, recreating Megatron's confident, sinister grin. The design is primarily based on the Beast Wars aesthetic, reinterpreted with more modern design elements to create a classic yet fresh appearance. The front of the head and torso showcase intricate mechanical structures, exuding an indestructible metallic heft. Meanwhile, the dragon head on the right arm, the dragon tail on the left arm, and the legs combine mechanical elements with the rough texture of a dinosaur's hide. The incredibly powerful Tyrannosaurus Rex head is truly exhilarating to behold! The hidden cannon in its mouth also features an LED light-up function. Turning to the back reveals extensive surface detailing, further enhancing the organic feel brought by the exquisite paintwork. Upon closer inspection, one can even spot tiny forelimbs on the dorsal plates, an unexpectedly charming detail!
