BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan recently announced that the latest limited-edition product from "Aura Battler Dunbine," the "HG 1/72 Tokamak Dunbine," will be exclusively sold at the Bandai Plastic Model Festival 'HYPER PLAMO Fes.2024' held at Makuhari Messe in Japan from March 22-24, 2024. Additionally, the product will be available for pre-sale on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.

The insect-shaped robot Dunbine is a prototype Aura Battler developed in Byston Well, an alternate world nestled between land and sea. Its developer, Shot Weapon, aimed to enhance its performance beyond the first Aura Battler, "Guied," resulting in a modified system with extremely stringent Aura Power requirements for its pilot. Consequently, only three Earthlings with exceptionally high Aura Power—Sho Zama, Todd, and Tokamak—could be summoned to pilot it. While the three were practicing controlling their Aura Power for flight, they were attacked by enemies. Despite being a veteran soldier, Tokamak was still unfamiliar with piloting and, in a moment of confusion, was tragically shot down, becoming a casualty who died in the very first episode after his debut.

The currently revealed "HG 1/72 Tokamak Dunbine" is a modification of the previously released Sho Zama's unit. It features an assembly structure crafted with the latest color separation and part division technology, not only recreating the insect-like curved armor but also thoroughly reproducing the mobile suit's colors with multi-colored molded parts in yellow, aqua blue, dark green, clear blue, black, and white. The blue sections on the head, abdomen, and limbs, as well as the yellow eyes, are all independently molded. The clear wings are made with light-gathering resin infused with pearl, allowing for diverse visual effects depending on the angle. The two cockpit hatch parts on the chest are produced using a new "semi-mirror plating" technology, faithfully reproducing the in-show setting where one can see outside from within, but the outside cannot see through to the inside.

The entire model boasts the articulation standards of the current HG series, allowing for dynamic poses with multiple movable axes, and each of the three claws on the hands features an articulated joint for expansion. Weapon accessories include an Aura Sword with its sheath and two sets of Aura Cannons equipped on the arms. Combined with the articulated wings, these allow for recreating the battle poses Tokamak was unable to achieve in his lifetime. More detailed product information will be released at a later date.
