SEGA PRIZE, a prize figure brand under the Japanese game company SEGA, is set to release its latest product in the popular "Luminasta" series, themed after the hit anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End." The "Luminasta Frieren ~Frieren's Daily Life~" character figure will be available as a prize item, with an anticipated release in March 2024!
"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" (葬送のフリーレン), a Japanese manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, tells the story of Frieren, an elven mage, who, alongside the human hero Himmel, the dwarven warrior Eisen, and the human priest Heiter, returns as a hero after a decade-long adventure. Frieren, who can live for thousands of years without aging, perceives the passage of time differently from mortals. After witnessing the passing and aging of her companions, she regrets not having truly understood others. Frieren then embarks on a new journey to experience the meaning of life and time.
The SEGA PRIZE "Luminasta Frieren ~Frieren's Daily Life~" figure stands approximately 19 cm tall. Diverging from Frieren's usual aloof demeanor, this figure is based on an animated character visual illustration depicting Frieren, Fern, and Stark purchasing food during their journey. It perfectly recreates Frieren's adorable appearance, holding a large melon pan and ready to take a big bite! Her pointed ears, combined with translucent hair ends, beautifully convey the light and ethereal feel of an elf. The base evokes the street scenes from the series.
