Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY today officially announced the latest product from the "Hatsune Miku GT Project", the "Racing Miku 2023Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure", scheduled for release in February 2025.
"Racing Miku" serves as the official ambassador for the Japanese racing team GOODSMILE RACING (GSR). Since the launch of the "Hatsune Miku GT Project" in 2008, a different illustrator has been commissioned each year to design her with unique outfits and appearances, with the new design then painted onto the race car for that season, garnering significant attention. For 2023, the design was handled by Toridamono, an illustrator renowned for character designs in the "Atelier Ryza" series, who incorporated elements such as cute fangs and plump thighs into Hatsune Miku's new look, creating an impression that is both energetic and somewhat alluring.
The "Racing Miku 2023ver. 1/7 Scale Figure" is based on Toridamono's illustration, faithfully bringing her dynamic pose to life in 1/7 scale. It meticulously recreates her lively, sparkling expression with her cute fangs peeking out, and delicately sculpts her flowing twin-tail hair. The alluring outfit features rich color applications and transfer printing to reproduce the texture of intricate metal buckles and accessories, as well as the "GOODSMILE RACING" logo on her chest.
Her distinctive thighs are rendered with a translucent, rosy skin tone and three-dimensional light and shadow effects that emphasize the gap between her legs. The unzipped zipper detail on top of her leather boots is also faithfully reproduced, conveying the full, voluptuous feel of her plump thighs. In addition to Racing Miku herself, the base also features two cheering birds holding flags, supported by clear stands. These birds wear upper body outfits and hats with the same design as Racing Miku, accompanying her in lively and adorable poses to further enrich the overall piece.
