From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, the 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, known for its most diverse range of mobile suits, today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury PROLOGUE", the "HG 1/144 Witch's Judgment", scheduled for release in May 2024. This product will only be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The CCP-068 Witch's Judgment is a mass-production mobile suit developed by Grassley Defense Systems 21 years before the main story. Unlike the special-spec machine "Gundam Lfrith", which is equipped with GUND counter-waves, this is a standard-spec machine that prioritizes practical combat and versatility. It is equipped with standard armaments such as a beam rifle, beam sabers, and a shield. Consequently, it was at a disadvantage against GUND-ARM type mobile suits that could utilize wireless remote-controlled weapons, and even became a birthday candle easily extinguished by a casual flick of the finger from a four-year-old Ericht Samaya.
The "HG 1/144 Witch's Judgment" is based on the previously released successor model, the "HG 1/144 Heindree Storm", and has been modified with numerous new parts and new molding colors to reproduce the distinct head, backpack, armaments, and the characteristic sand-yellow body color. The entire kit is produced with excellent color separation and part division techniques, and features flexible movable joints, allowing for dynamic combat poses with the included beam rifle, two beam sabers, and shield.
