The "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS" series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., which combines metallic texture painting and an alloy frame, recently announced the commercialization of the new mobile suit "Force Impulse Gundam Spec II" from the theatrical anime film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM. The release date is yet to be determined.
The ZGMF-56E2 Force Impulse Gundam Spec II is a new mobile suit secretly recovered by the Archangel after the Impulse Gundam was severely damaged in the previous war, then repaired and improved by Morgenroete with the latest technology. After replacing the new battery and other energy systems, the color of the VPS armor becomes deeper when activated. It can also be wirelessly charged by the Hyper Duetrion Beam Supply System launched by the Destiny Gundam Spec II. The rest of its armaments remain largely unchanged, but it can be equipped with the massive enhanced equipment "Tactical Striker M.E.T.E.O.R".
Currently, it appears that the "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Force Impulse Gundam Spec II" will be modified based on the Force Impulse Gundam released in 2021, similar to the previously announced "Destiny Gundam Spec II". It will feature a refreshed body paint to reproduce the deeper colors of the enhanced VPS armor, along with additional original model markings, and will include the newly added railgun armament from the movie version. More detailed product information is expected to be announced at a later date.
