BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, which issues the 'METAL ROBOT SPIRITS' series combining metallic paint finishes and alloy frames, officially announced today the latest product from the theatrical anime film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM, the "Zeus Silhouette", scheduled for release in August 2024.
The A-GXQ754/V2 Zeus Silhouette is an armament utilized by the world peace monitoring organization "COMPASS". In the film, it was equipped by both Akatsuki Gundam and Destiny Gundam SpecII. In its standalone form, it appears like a bird for aerial transport. Upon rendezvous with its equipped target, it can separate into various reinforced parts to be mounted on different sections of the Mobile Suit's body. Large thrusters are added to the rear waist and both legs, while the back is equipped with sensors and missile pods. Its main armament is an extremely powerful, super-large railgun that exceeds the length of the MS itself. To prevent the cannon barrel from becoming unusable if damaged, three spare barrels are carried during sortie.
The "Zeus Silhouette" precisely recreates each part in three dimensions based on its in-film design, while also applying rich metallic and semi-gloss colors to express the unit's substantial texture. Original body markings are also printed on various parts of the unit to enhance detail density. In its standalone flight form, the unit measures approximately 45 cm in length. All parts can be disassembled as per the in-film setting, allowing the separately sold "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Destiny Gundam SpecII" to be equipped. The back missile pods can reproduce the open hatch state by replacing parts, and the multi-axis movable support arm connecting the super-large railgun allows for the powerful firing pose from the final battle to be recreated.
