Japanese model maker Max Factory's popular action figure series "figma" revealed the latest information on three new products from Nintendo's popular video game "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom"—"Link," "Ganondorf," and "Zelda"—at the "Wonder Festival 2024 Winter" held on the 11th of this month!

"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" continues the story of its predecessor, "Breath of the Wild," depicting a brand new adventure after the defeat of Calamity Ganon. City walls float into the sky, mysterious ruins descend from above, and sudden cataclysms strike the land of Hyrule. Protagonist Link embarks on a journey once again. This time, not only do grown-up new-generation champions like Sidon, Riju, Tulin, and others fight alongside him, but he can also utilize new abilities such as Recall, Fuse, Ultrahand, and Ascend, to freely explore the sky islands, the dark depths, and the transformed landscapes of Hyrule.
The "figma Link: Tears of the Kingdom Ver.", which previously had an unpainted prototype displayed, finally had its painted prototype revealed for the first time at this exhibition. In addition to faithfully reproducing the colors of Link's body, his new Champion's Tunic, Master Sword, and Hylian Shield through paintwork, some details differ from the previously exhibited prototype. For example, Rauru's right arm and the torn sleeve are now depicted in their usual complete form, and a "Hylian Hood" part has been added to the collar. It is possible that the final product will allow for the recreation of both looks through interchangeable parts.

Furthermore, the other two key main characters from the game, "Ganondorf: Tears of the Kingdom Ver." and "Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ver.", are also confirmed for release in the figma series. Among them, Ganondorf's unpainted prototype was displayed for the first time, reproducing his muscular physique and samurai-like attire. His entire body features multiple points of articulation, allowing his kimono-like loose clothing to maintain both its sculpt and range of motion. Princess Zelda will also be sculpted with her short-haired "Tears of the Kingdom" look and ancient Zonai attire, though her prototype has not yet been revealed. We can look forward to posing all three characters with figma's original articulated joints and 1/12 scale action figure specifications!
