Today (22nd), the action figure brand "S.H.Figuarts," released by BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS in Japan, officially announced the new product "King Cold" (コルド大王) from "Dragon Ball Z" and opened pre-orders! King Cold is the father of the galactic emperor Frieza and one of the strongest warriors in the universe. After Frieza's defeat on Planet Namek, King Cold promptly rescued the dying Frieza, brought him back for treatment, and had him rebuilt into Mecha Frieza. Later, unwilling to accept defeat, Frieza and his father King Cold went to Earth to seek revenge on Super Saiyan Goku, but both were easily dispatched by Future Trunks.
Following the Mecha Frieza, which can split in half, Bandai quickly reunited the father and son in the S.H.Figuarts series. This three-dimensional rendition of King Cold boasts a remarkably robust physique with highly sculpted, three-dimensional muscle lines. Standing at a massive 22 cm tall, his large horns on either side of his head, shoulder pads, wide cape, and long tail all contribute to King Cold's imposing presence. Coupled with vibrant color application, he looks incredibly cool when posed. The head comes with three interchangeable expression parts: a sneer, gritted teeth, and a roar. Accessories also include a set of interchangeable wrist parts, cape parts, Trunks' sword, and the magnificent giant throne he sat on during his first appearance! Absolutely fantastic.
