The popular candy toy product 'Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME FA', released by BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., had previously announced in 2022 that new works from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", namely "Calamity Gundam", "Raider Gundam", and "Forbidden Gundam", were under development. Originally slated for release in Spring 2023, there was no news for an entire year. Now, riding on the wave of excitement from the SEED theatrical film's release, information has finally been unveiled. The three mobile suits will be released as a new product, the "G-FRAME FA Set of 3 Wicked Weapons", available for limited sale on PREMIUM BANDAI starting February 22nd.
The three mobile suits appearing in "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED"—the Calamity Gundam, Raider Gundam, and Forbidden Gundam—are late-model GAT-X series machines developed by the Earth Alliance, piloted by the three Extended humans: Orga Sabnak, Clotho Buer, and Shani Andras. Each of the three units is equipped with different functions to meet mission requirements and operate collaboratively. The Calamity possesses high-firepower long-range beam weaponry, the transformable Raider boasts high mobility, and the Forbidden is equipped with an energy deflection armor that distorts beam attacks. While their superhuman piloting abilities combined with cutting-edge mobile suits provide formidable combat power, the three Extended humans, having undergone brainwashing and long-term medication, suffer from side effects such as a lack of humanity and judgment, becoming agonizingly insane if they miss their medication.
From the currently released product images, it can be seen that in addition to continuing the G-FRAME FA style with high-density detailed sculpting and flexible movable frames, the set will also include the Calamity Gundam's numerous high-firepower beam weapons, reproduce the Raider Gundam's transformation mechanism, and feature the Forbidden Gundam's "High-Speed Assault Mode" where its backpack covers its head. Detailed product information will be officially released on the 22nd.
