Bandai Namco Entertainment Japan officially announced last night that the action game "Gundam Breaker 4", which focuses on building Gunpla, is scheduled for release within 2024. They also revealed that the game's Collector's Edition will include the limited Gunpla "Gunbarrel Strike Gundam (Gundam Breaker Ver.)" and various other exclusive bonuses.
While its predecessor, "New Gundam Breaker", attempted various new game elements, a new engine, and its debut on PC, the extremely poor gameplay experience ultimately led to a disastrous reception. Now, after a six-year hiatus, the true successor to the series, "Gundam Breaker 4", will return to the gameplay style familiar to players from "Gundam Breaker 3" and further enhance it. The game is expected to feature over 250 Gunpla models, allowing players to freely combine 11 body parts to create their own unique Gunpla. This time, left and right arm parts, as well as left and right armaments, can be adjusted separately, leading to even greater variety in appearance and weapon skills. Furthermore, compared to the monotonous photo backgrounds and mobile suit poses in "Gundam Breaker 3", this title evolves into a "Diorama Mode" where players can utilize various 3D scenes and multiple mobile suits to create unique and personalized displays.
The "Gundam Breaker 4 Collector's Edition", priced at 13,500 JPY + tax, will include the game itself, a digital soundtrack featuring 45 original BGM tracks, a double-sided storage steelbook, and the limited Gunpla "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Gunbarrel Strike Gundam (Gundam Breaker Ver.)". This Gunpla uses the "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Strike Gundam" as its base, which boasts excellent color separation and part division technology. It features a new armament support frame on its back, combining the previously released Gunbarrel equipment with the Linear Cannon and High-Energy Rifle used by the Buster Gundam. All parts are molded in vibrant colors such as purple, clear orange, metallic light blue, and white, and it comes with original body marking stickers.
