BANDAI CANDY, the popular candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from its popular candy toy series "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME FA", the "Three Wicked Weapons Set" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", scheduled for release in July 2024.
This product includes the three mobile suits that appeared in "SEED": Calamity Gundam, Raider Gundam, and Forbidden Gundam. These three mobile suits are late-model GAT-X series units developed by the Earth Alliance and piloted by the three Extended humans: Orga Sabnak, Clotho Buer, and Shani Andras. Each of the three units is equipped with different functions to meet mission requirements and operate together. The Calamity possesses high-firepower long-range beam weapons, the transformable Raider boasts high mobility, and the Forbidden is equipped with energy deflection armor that distorts beam attacks. While their superhuman piloting abilities combined with cutting-edge mobile suits provide formidable combat power, the three Extended, who have undergone brainwashing and long-term medication, suffer from side effects such as a lack of humanity and judgment, leading to agonizing madness if they miss their medication.
The "G-FRAME FA Three Wicked Weapons Set" continues the series' characteristic rich exterior armor details and flexible movable frame. For the Calamity Gundam, armaments include the "Todesblock" plasma-sabot bazooka and an anti-beam shield. In addition to the heavy armor rendered in dark blue and dark green, metallic paint is used to recreate the muzzles of the "Schlag" dual high-energy long-range beam cannons on its back and the "Scylla" multi-phase energy cannon on its chest. Furthermore, an auxiliary stand for the Raider Gundam to ride on is also included.
The Raider Gundam comes with a wealth of armaments, including beam blades for the "Zorn Mk.2" short-range plasma cannon, an 80mm machine gun M417, 76mm machine gun M2M3 x 2, a twin 52mm ultra-high initial velocity shield cannon, the "Mjolnir" iron ball, and a monofilament wire to recreate its firing state. The main body also utilizes numerous new frame parts to reproduce its MA (Mobile Armor) form transformation mechanism, allowing for two combat styles when combined with its weapon accessories. With the aforementioned auxiliary stand, the Calamity Gundam can be mounted on it.
For the Forbidden Gundam, the muzzle of the "Geschmeidig Einhörn" variable induction plasma cannon on top of its backpack and the heat sink fins on its chest are also finished with metallic paint. In addition to its voluminous backpack, it also includes its characteristic close-combat armament, the "Nidhoggr" heavy scythe. Its flexible articulation allows for dynamic poses wielding the scythe with both hands. Furthermore, by replacing chest and backpack parts, its "High-Speed Assault Mode" with the backpack covering its head can be recreated. A rotating mechanism also allows for the deployment of the two "Eckzahn" 88mm railguns behind its arms and the firing state of the "Geschmeidig Einhörn".
