The "MG (Master Grade)" series of 1/100 scale Gundam plastic models, released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, known for its excellent part separation, internal frame structure, and rich articulation mechanisms, has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam F90", the "MG 1/100 Gundam F90 N-Type", scheduled for release in June 2024.

F90-01 Gundam F90 is a new type of mobile suit developed in Universal Century 0111 as part of S.N.R.I.'s "FORMULA Project" to miniaturize mobile suits. Its most significant feature is the "Mission Pack" expansion system, with numerous hard points located throughout the fuselage for quick replacement of equipment tailored to mission requirements. The project currently includes at least 26 types of Mission Packs (A to Z), and even models without detailed prior settings have been redesigned by Mr. Kunio Okawara and released as MG kits in the "F90 A to Z PROJECT".

The "MG 1/100 Gundam F90 N-Type" released this time includes the "Gundam F90 Unit 2 (Factory Color)" and the newly sculpted "N-Type Mission Pack". The main body of the F90 Unit 2 has been modified from the deep purple coloring of previous releases to a Gundam primary color molding similar to Unit 1. Aside from most parts changing from blue to red, it is essentially identical, featuring excellent color separation, part division, articulated design, and thoroughly recreating the distinctive hard point expansion slots. It comes with basic armaments such as a beam rifle, beam saber, and shield.

The next-generation enhanced equipment "N-Type Mission Pack", developed specifically for Newtype pilots and equipped with a psycho-frame system, is made with entirely new parts. It can not only be displayed independently in fighter jet mode but also recreates the transformation and combination mechanism with the F90 series mobile suits, enveloping the F90's upper body to form the chest armor and backpack. This model's characteristic 6 "Beam Saber-type Funnels" can normally be mounted on the beam rifle, and by extending them with replacement parts and adding beam effects, the beam saber mode can be recreated.

Furthermore, this N-Type Mission Pack also features additional expansion hard points on the rear of the unit. By combining it with separately sold B-Type, G-Type, and other Mission Packs, various composite equipment forms such as the NB-Type and NG-Type, which appeared in the manga "Mobile Suit Gundam F90FF", can be recreated!
