From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS' action figure brand "S.H.Figuarts", following "ACE-KILLER", a new product themed on "Ultraman Ace" has been announced: "Ultraman Ace Father of Ultra". It has a suggested retail price of 8250 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2024!
Father of Ultra, whose real name is Ken, first appeared in Episode 27 of "Ultraman Ace" in 1972. He is the husband of Mother of Ultra, father of Taro, and adoptive father of Ace. He is the supreme commander of the Space Garrison – the Grand Commander, and also the current President of the Land of Light, serving as a father figure to all young Ultraman warriors.
In his youth, Ken did not have his current sideburns, and his Ultra Horns were relatively thinner. During the Great War with Alien Emperor, the enhanced form he successfully activated caused him to grow sideburns and made his Ultra Horns significantly larger. Later, during the Belyudra Rebellion, Father of Ultra regretted not using his full strength against his former comrade Belial, and since then, he has continuously maintained his enhanced form.
This Father of Ultra figure stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. Under the strict supervision of LSS, the modeling department of Tsuburaya Productions, the production company behind "Ultraman Ace", the figure has been sculpted and three-dimensionalized based on his appearance in the series. The sculpt perfectly recreates Father of Ultra's powerful aura from the show, with his massive Ultra Horns on both sides of his head, which are disproportionate to his body, and the wrinkles on his limbs faithfully reproduce the texture of the tokusatsu suit. Accessories include 5 pairs of interchangeable hands, a red version of the chest color timer, the Ultra Dumbbell weapon, and attack effect parts, allowing collectors to recreate various scenes from the series at home!
