The robot-themed action figure series "ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E.", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, today officially announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury", the "Gundam Schwarzette", scheduled for release in September 2024.
The MDX-0003 Gundam Schwarzette is a mobile suit secretly developed by Jeturk Heavy Machinery after acquiring GUND System-related technology from Shin Sei Development Corporation. Its exterior design incorporates many features of the "Darilbalde" mobile suit developed by the same company, and it possesses excellent performance. Although its armament appears to be just a single bulky greatsword, this is actually the Schwarzette's six GUND sub-units, "Guardians". When deployed, not only do the internal physical blades unsheathe, but each sub-unit also contains beam vulcans and diffuse beam cannons, and can form a cape-like "Bit on Form", achieving an offense-defense integrated combat style.
The "ROBOT魂 Gundam Schwarzette ver. A.N.I.M.E." meticulously recreates the armor design of each part based on the anime's setting drafts. The glowing areas on the head, shoulders, chest, and legs are expressed through transparent outer shell parts and highly reflective internal paintwork. For articulation, the flexible joint design of the ver. A.N.I.M.E. series is incorporated, allowing for the recreation of impressive combat poses from the show.
The most distinctive melee weapon, the "Beam Sword", can be fitted with clear effect parts to recreate its activated state. The six GUND sub-units, "Guardians", can normally form the beam sword's sheath, be used as a giant club, or a beam Gatling gun. They can also be separated and reassembled to cover the left side of the mobile suit, recreating scenes of all-range laser attacks, or mounted on the rear skirt armor as thrusters. Additionally, the product includes a set of auxiliary stands, allowing the GUND sub-units to be mounted on various parts to recreate flight states.
