The popular articulated figure series "Revoltech (リボルテック)" released by Japanese toy company Kaiyodo (KAIYODO), after releasing multiple versions of the Pumpkin King "Jack Skellington" based on "The Nightmare Before Christmas," including the "Jack Skellington Ver.1.5" released last October, the heroine "Sally" (サリー) finally makes her debut in the series! Scheduled for release in October 2024, with a suggested retail price of 10,000 JPY.
The fantastical stop-motion animated film "The Nightmare Before Christmas," created by visionary director "Tim Burton," tells a story that unfolds in the eerie "Halloween Town," where residents have terrifying appearances, including zombies, werewolves, witches, and various other strange creatures. Their leader, "Jack," is a very tall and slender skeleton who has grown tired of the unchanging annual celebrations. By chance, Jack discovers "Christmas Town," a place full of warmth, joy, and vibrant colors. Captivated by this special atmosphere, Jack decides to imitate Christmas Town, but this action triggers a series of terrible consequences....
In the setting of "The Nightmare Before Christmas," "Sally" is a female artificial life form created by Doctor Finklestein and infatuated with Jack. Sally's most prominent physical features are her long orange hair, patchwork outfit, and numerous visible stitch marks. This "REVOLTECH Sally" stands approximately 17.5 cm tall and not only fully reproduces the vibrant colors and various patterns of Sally's patchwork dress, but also meticulously recreates the stitch marks on her limbs and the lines on her calves. What the editor personally finds most impressive are the expressive face parts! Combined with multiple eye parts, you can pose her to display a wide range of emotional states, which is quite interesting.
The accessory lineup also includes a tombstone, the ghost dog "Zero," a black flower, green grass parts, and multiple interchangeable hands.
