MEGAHOUSE, a Japanese model manufacturer, recently announced the latest product in its completed space battleship model series, 'Cosmo Fleet Special,' the 'Rewloola Re.' from 'Mobile Suit Gundam UC,' scheduled for release in late June 2024.
The Rewloola was originally the flagship of Neo Zeon, led by Char Aznable during the 'Char's Rebellion' in Universal Century 0093. At the time, it was a cutting-edge, high-performance vessel with excellent anti-air firepower and mobile suit carrying capacity. After Char's operation failed, the ship disappeared. In 'Mobile Suit Gundam UC,' which depicts the 'Laplace Incident' in Universal Century 0096, the vessel reappeared after repairs, becoming the flagship of the Zeon remnants, 'The Sleeves.'
The 'Cosmo Fleet Special Rewloola Re.' is a remastered version based on the old edition released in 2015. Crafted with precise modeling at a total length of 17 cm, it not only faithfully reproduces the anime's characteristic streamlined armor design and red paint scheme but also features seven rotatable main and secondary turrets and a cool armor line design. The two mobile suit hangars on the upper and lower parts of the hull can replicate the open hatch state by swapping parts. The accessories also include a mini 'Neo Zeong' model of the same scale, which can be suspended beneath the hull to recreate its transport state.
Unlike the previous version, the entire hull armor features subtle weathering paint to express shadows and stains, and it comes with new water-slide decals printed with numerous markings and text, which can be applied to various parts of the hull to give the model a more realistic appearance.
