American renowned toy company Mattel, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its highly acclaimed 90s toy series animation "Street Sharks", has redesigned and re-released 6 classic Street Sharks figures. The suggested retail price is US$24.99 per figure, and three of the characters will be available for pre-sale exclusively at the Walmart Collector Con, held online by the famous American retailer Walmart, over the next two days (March 14-15, US time)!
"Street Sharks" was an animated series aired from 1994 to 1997, telling the story of four lab-mutated shark brothers who, after escaping the laboratory, use their respective shark powers to fight crime. Street Sharks is considered a toy series inspired by Playmates Toys' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and it garnered a loyal fanbase in the 90s toy market, remaining a highly sought-after item in the secondary toy market even today!
This 30th-anniversary commemorative toy line will re-release six classic characters, including "Ripster", "Blades", "Big Slammu", "Jab", and two villain characters, "Dr. Piranoid" and "Slash". The first wave will feature Ripster, Jab, and Slash, faithfully recreating their original toy designs from back in the day. They feature articulated hands and jaws, bringing collectors back to the initial excitement of these sharks' debut in 1994! Furthermore, this release also includes a cage with bent iron bars, allowing you to feel the immense power of the Street Sharks even before unboxing!
