Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company's prize figure brand BANPRESTO recently unveiled an amazing new "Naruto" product in its August 2024 lineup: the chivalrous boss "Gamabunta" (ガマブン太) has been sculpted into a figure!
Gamabunta first appeared in Volume 11 of the manga, during Naruto's training of the "Summoning Jutsu." Due to drawing out the excessively massive Nine-Tails' chakra hidden within him, Naruto summoned Gamabunta to overcome the immediate crisis. Although Gamabunta initially looked down on Naruto, believing Jiraiya had summoned him and then let Naruto climb onto his head, he eventually believed Naruto after seeing his name on the scroll and deemed him an impressive kid. He later served as a powerful ally in many major battles. Gamabunta fights using a giant short sword and possesses an enormous amount of chakra. He has previously performed "Water Release: Toad Gun," Combination Transformation, and, alongside Jiraiya, the wide-range attack "Fire Release: Toad Oil Bullet."
While the detailed dimensions of BANPRESTO's "Gamabunta" have not yet been revealed, just his "Asian squat" pose, pipe in mouth, reminiscent of a yakuza boss, makes him incredibly cool! His skin is painted with two shades of red, and the circular protrusions, one of the characteristic features of a toad's appearance, are sculpted on his head. The tattoos on his body, the bandages around his waist, the dark blue hanten, his long, slender fingers and toes... all aspects of the character are meticulously reproduced. He would be perfect displayed alongside Naruto, Jiraiya, or even the Fourth Hokage. We eagerly await the full announcement.
