BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, Japan, has announced the latest collaborative product between its original plastic model series 『30MINUTES MISSIONS』, known for its easy assembly and free customization features, and 《Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon》. The "SCHNEIDER NACHTREIHER/40E Steel Haze" is scheduled for release in September 2024.
《Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon》 is the latest installment in the 《Armored Core》 series, developed by From Software after a decade-long hiatus. The story is set on the remote planet "Rubicon 3," where humanity discovered a mysterious new substance called "Coral." While initially believed to be a new energy source that would lead to significant technological advancement, it instead brought about a devastating catastrophe that engulfed the entire star system. Nearly a century later, the terrifying "Coral" has become a target of contention for extraterrestrial corporations and resistance groups. Players will once again assume the role of "Raven," a mercenary piloting a robot, to infiltrate Rubicon and delve deeper into the heart of this conflict.
The AC being released this time is the Steel Haze, piloted by "V.IV Rusty," the commander of the Vespers 4th Squad who fought alongside the protagonist in the early stages. Utilizing the 30MM series' characteristic easy assembly and free customization features, it is produced as a plastic model kit. Its precise sculpting thoroughly recreates the high-density details, distinct from original 30MM units, and the dark, alien-like body shape.
Parts such as the Schneider-manufactured lightweight head NACHTREIHER/44E, core NACHTREIHER/40E, dual arms NACHTREIHER/46E, dual legs NACHTREIHER/42E, and booster ALULA/21E are produced with the series' common structure, allowing for free interchangeability of the four main body parts, just like in the game.
For weaponry, it includes the right-hand held burst handgun "MA-E-211 SAMPU," the left-hand "Vvc-774LS" which can recreate its deployed laser blade, and the shoulder-mounted plasma missile "Vvc-703PM" and burst rifle "MA-J-200 RANSETSU-RF." These weapon parts utilize standard 3mm connection joints, allowing for free customization as well.
