The renowned American toy brand Hasbro's Star Wars The Black Series has announced the release of several 6-inch action figures themed after the upcoming Star Wars spin-off series, Star Wars: The Acolyte, which is set to launch this summer. Each figure will be priced at US$24.99 and is expected to be released in October 2024!
The Star Wars series Star Wars: The Acolyte, set to premiere on Disney+ in June, takes place at the end of the High Republic Era, 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. It tells the story of a respected Jedi Master who, during an investigation, uncovers a rising dark new force. While official information remains scarce, the recently released trailer showcased Korean star Lee Jung-jae meticulously training Jedi apprentices, as well as multiple yellow lightsabers, rarely seen in previous works and typically wielded by Jedi Temple Guards. This has generated immense anticipation for the story to unfold!
This release features five characters seen in the trailer: Jedi Master "Sol" portrayed by Lee Jung-jae, Jedi Master "Indara" portrayed by Carrie-Anne Moss, the assassin "Mae" portrayed by Amandla Stenberg, Jedi Knight "Yord Fandar" portrayed by Charlie Barnett, and Jedi Padawan "Jecki Lon" portrayed by Dafne Keen, who previously played X-23 in Logan. The head sculpts for each figure meticulously recreate the actors' facial features within the 6-inch scale. The robes are made of fabric, allowing for free removal and significantly reducing limitations on posing. While the relationships between the characters are not yet clear, the lightsaber colors offer a preliminary glimpse into each character's personality. However, the full story will only be revealed when the series premieres in June. We can't wait!
