During today's model kit festival, 'HYPER PLAMO Fes.2024,' held by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, the development prototype for the new product 'HG 1/144 Psycho Gundam Mk-II,' from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam," was unveiled for the first time. Release date is yet to be determined.
The MRX-010 Psycho Gundam Mk-II is a successor unit developed by the Murasame Research Lab based on combat data from the Psycho Gundam. It boasts an equally imposing size of 40 meters and features improved weaponry and power systems, enabling operations in space. The unit is equipped with a Minovsky Craft System, I-Field, and MA transformation mechanism, along with numerous beam cannons capable of multi-directional firing, Reflector Bits, and more, making it an even more terrifying weapon of destruction. However, the Titans exploited the brainwashed and modified Rosamia Badam as its pilot, repeating the tragedy of the enhanced human girl.
From the currently revealed prototype of the 'HG 1/144 Psycho Gundam Mk-II,' one can see the foreshadowing previously seen in "HG 1/144 Chimera Storm Giant Gundam", utilizing the same arm parts and supplementing other sections with new components. The design's transformation into MA mode is highly anticipated.
