Renowned American toy brand Hasbro's Star Wars The Black Series recently successively released two new Holocomm series products—"Darth Vader" and "Darth Maul." Each figure has a suggested retail price of US$27.99 and is expected to be released in October 2024!
Star Wars fans are surely no strangers to Holocomm technology. This technology can be said to be the communication method that runs through the entire Star Wars saga, serving as a crucial technology across the vast reaches of the galaxy, from the Galactic Republic to the New Republic. Holocomm has also been paid homage to in various ways by international netizens, notably as the communication technology used in the famous scene where Obi-Wan Kenobi, amidst the heavy rain on Kamino in "Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones," communicates via his ship with Jedi Masters Yoda and Mace Windu of the Jedi Council!
Hasbro's Holocomm series has previously released popular characters such as The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and Han Solo. This time, two powerful Sith Lords, Darth Vader and Darth Maul, are added to the series! The figures are made from blue translucent plastic material to recreate the characters' in-show appearance and retain the excellent articulation of The Black Series. Each figure comes with a Holocomm projector base; lighting up from beneath the character's feet can recreate the effect of using Holocomm communication as seen in the series. A long press can even switch it to display mode, allowing collectors to experience the feeling of the Sith Lord communicating with the two Sith warriors!
