Released by Japan's CAPCOM Co., Ltd., the "Monster Hunter" statue series, in collaboration with renowned monster sculptors, "CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model" has announced its latest product: "Khezu". It has a suggested retail price of 16,500 JPY and is scheduled for release in October 2024.
The strangest monster in the "Monster Hunter" series, Khezu (奇怪竜 フルフル), is a medium-sized carnivorous wyvern found in damp areas such as swamps and ice fields. It has smooth white skin, large hind legs, and wings. Its face has only a gaping maw and no eyes, leading hunters to rate it as one of the most repulsive-looking monsters. Its neck is flexible, retractable, and can extend at will. It first paralyzes small monsters with electric orbs before swallowing them whole, and also releases electrical attacks on its surroundings. A white nourishing extract can also be harvested from the Khezu's body, making it quite valuable.
The "CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model Khezu" measures approximately 19.5 cm in height. Sculpted by Hiroaki Nakanishi, it brings to life the scene of the Khezu clinging to a cave wall, extending its neck to attack its prey. Its smooth white skin, with delicate textures, visible veins, and a glossy, eerie quality, creates a repulsive and strange biological form. Its gaping maw is filled with sharp teeth and splattered with saliva, as a helpless Kelbi is about to be swallowed... making the entire piece even more dynamic!
